"The spirit of Pollyanna
will surely be present in this room for any guest who is lucky
enough to spend time here. The view from the windows (and bed)
alone will lift the spirit!"
Author Eleanor Hodgman Porter (1868-1920) was born and lived in Littleton, New Hampshire. In 1913 she created the cheerful Pollyanna, the world-famous character whose very name inspires an understanding of gladness and optimism.
Sculpted by New Hampshire artist Emile Birch, and unveiled in 2002, the statue resides in front of the Littleton Public Library on Main Street.
The ornament is issued in partnership with Pollyanna of Littleton New Hampshire, Inc.

Spanning the beautiful Ammonoosuc River, the covered footbridge was built to tie together the north and south sides of the Littleton Riverwalk. The bridge is located near the site of a dam that once powered the gristmill adjacent to the bridge. The bridge is 350 feet long and was built in 2004 by Winterset, Inc. In 2008, lighting was installed on the bridge to provide nighttime safety to pedestrians and the structure itself.

"This has been such a rejuvenating experience. This is a magical location, of course, but equally wonderful is the attention to detail of innkeepers Sally & Jim. They have truly thought of everything--amenities are endless & always in good taste."
